PRSA Bluegrass is now accepting nominations for Rising Star, Communicator of the Year, Hall of Fame, and Sheldon Schafer Excellence in Local Journalism Awards

Rising Star
The Rising Star Award honors the next generation of professionals in communications. Nominees should currently excel in the communications field and show great promise in shaping the future of the industry.  

Hall of Fame
The Hall of Fame induction honors local professionals who have made a lasting difference in communications. The professional stature, performance portfolio, and ethical standards of every inductee are far above the norm. Each recipient has achieved real results in her or his professional life and has repeatedly demonstrated exceptional skill, creativity, insight, and commitment.  

Sheldon Shafer Excellence in Local Journalism
In 2018, PRSA Bluegrass added the Sheldon Shafer Excellence in Journalism award to the Landmarks of Excellence Individual awards. At a time when the news industry is changing dramatically and reporters are faced with doing more with less, this award recognizes a member of the media who consistently delivers quality reporting, demonstrates receptiveness to conversations public relations professionals, and is focused on producing stories with impact.  

Communicator of the Year
The Communicator of the Year Award recognizes a Louisville Metro area practitioner who has consistently demonstrated communications expertise and had a substantially positive influence on the community and/or significantly raised awareness of a specific issue.
